I was at the field for our game today and got the call from Lindsay that her contractions were getting a little more steady and painful. I packed my shit and left, got home and took Nathan out, put the poor guy in his crate (he whined...sad leaving our little buddy) and took to the streets.
Got down here, checked in the hospital, and we've been here since. She's toughing it out so far - the pain is getting worse but she wants to keep moving forward (an epidural is gonna happen, just waiting for the pain to get unbearable).
We've been playing WordsWithFriends a bit to pass the time. Got some good words:
Chode - always funny to hear and to say. If you don't know what it means, I'm sorry.

Shit - this one has always been in my vernacular and apparently it's recognized as a real word in this game (and 32 points):

I won one game, she won one. It's a draw so far.
Here's a few other pictures from the day so far:
From our window, looking down on E77 St. with a white vignette:

Here's one of the building next to the hospital. Edited it into sepia and black vignette. Pretty cool balcony (if that's what it is):

Finally one of the buildings to the northeast of our window. With a black and purple effect:

No pictures of Lindsay. She'd kill me (and just told me I better not put any of her on the blog) so I'll adhere to her wishes. She is the pregnant one.
My parents are in the waiting area. Her mom is coming down tomorrow. Jesse and Julia are tending to Nathan. Pretty cool times though.
Very exciting time in both our lives. Kinda crazy at the same time. Everything is going to change, but in a good way.
Going to tend to wifester. Check back later.
