Jerry Manuel for "Jackass of the Year"

  Here's a quote from Jerry Manuel as reported by the AP:

  “Obviously I’m disappointed, discouraged, frustrated,” Mets manager Jerry Manuel said. “When you get this kind of news it’s … we’ve just been through a lot. We seem to continue to have difficulties keeping things from—having these type of injuries or these type of setbacks. Every year it seems like we get a little something here or there.”

  Jerry, take a look in the mirror and around the clubhouse you helped build.  You've been through a lot because you brought in a bunch of high-priced crap.  Or maybe it's the fact that you can't even finish a sentence.  And every  year you do get a little something here or there, and it's never anything good.

  I am not a Mets fan, but I do feel for those who are.  When the skipper of your team is as incapable as this guy, you can't help but feel bad for fans.  Spending their hard earned money night after night at CitiField to watch a glorified AAA team?  No thanks.

  Wilpon, fire this guy.  He's a lame duck and will continue to be so.
