We took both games of the double header with St. Peter's this afternoon - 11-3 and 6-2. Both were much closer than the score indicated.
They has a scrappy team - a bunch of wise asses - but scrappy nonetheless.
The best part was when someone from their dugout - someone who clearly wasn't playing because he had on sweatpants - shouted "what's a Jasper anyway?" three seconds before Chad Salem crushed a hanging breaking ball well over the fence in left field. That's what a Jasper is mother f****r.
We have to finish it up tomorrow. Noon start for game three. Looking for another solid effort from our starting pitcher. It'd be nice to beat these chirpy bastards.

Just finished putting together a swing for Baby D. I am officially finished putting things together until they decide to get here. Crib, check. Changing table, check. Cradle, check. Stroller, check. Swing, check.
Jesse is known as the handy Darcy brother, but I'm running right there in second place. Still a ways to go before I catch him. This guy builds living room tables for his apartment for shit's sake.
OK, time to get in the shower. I didn't sweat much today from physical activity but I was quite vocal in the dugout supporting our guys and trying to give them the kick in the ass they needed.
Good work but I hope we aren't complacent tomorrow. We need to have the same fire we had today, times ten.
Later. Tomorrow afternoon/evening will produce a better post from the terrace, with me having a beer in hand and music playing. Win, lose, or draw. Hopefully a W!
