Emma Watson Is Finished With Brown, Not College

'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson, 21, recently announced a decision to take time off from her Ivy League education at Brown University in Rhode Island, due to professional demands on her time.

She began at college in 2009, but last month told fans on her official site she had hit the brakes on her studies. This weekend, a new Associated Press report [via the New York Times] clarifies Watson's plan.

The British actress' spokesperson, Vanessa Davies, now says that Watson is not returning to Brown at all. Instead, she will be transferring to another university this fall.

Although Watson has said that her introduction to campus life at Brown was "awful" (and football fans reportedly made her uncomfortable), the spokeswoman claims there's no truth to rumors that the movie star was "bullied" out of school. Davies says the actress wants to pursue a different course of study "not offered at Brown."

In autumn 2010, around the same time reports surfaced of an embarrassing nude photo going viral on campus, allegedly showing Watson with only a towel around her waist, the diplomatic star was nevertheless quoted in Marie Claire saying, "Brown has a real sense of community, and people are very protective of me. They really look out for me; they want me to feel like I'm part of it."

No longer a part of Brown's community, fans await news about where the studious Brit (and new face of Lacome) plans to crack the books next.
