Exactly one week after his stylish black-tie appearance (along with wife Victoria) at Prince William's wedding in London, soccer superstar David Beckham was involved in a collision on the
freeway in Southern California, People.com reports.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was minor, and occurred near Torrence, Calif., on Friday.
"Mr. Beckham's black Cadillac SUV collided with the rear of a gold Mitsubishi in the carpool lane," confirms a California Highway Patrol spokesperson, Jennifer Connolly.
The Mitsubishi's driver experienced minor neck pain, and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Beckham, 36, was uninjured.
The gold car struck by Beckham's vehicle had reportedly broken down in the carpool lane of the busy 405 freeway when the collision occurred.
