Lindsay Lohan Still Peeved With Paris Hilton

Lindsay Lohan is still simmering over former friend Paris Hilton's nasty swipe at her in the promo for her new show 'The World According to Paris.'

The preview showed Hilton giving a pair of earrings to a homeless woman. When the woman mistook Paris for Lindsay, Paris replied, "If I were Lindsay, I'd be stealing the earrings, and not giving them away." Meowch!

"Lindsay is really trying to change her life for the better. This proves Paris will never change. She's always going to be mean and spiteful to other women," a pal of Lindsay's tells PopEater.

Paris has a long history of burning her female friendships starting with the one that brought her reality television fame on 'The Simple Life' with Nicole Richie.

Hilton's new show is meant to reposition her brand to show that she is more than the vapid hard partying celebutante with a bad attitude. The trailers are filled with a gaggle of less attractive but seemingly supportive girlfriends who hang on Hilton's every word.

It doesn't look like too much has changed save for Hilton's friends becoming more average. And her jokes about Lohan prove she hasn't morphed into a nice person overnight.

"Really Paris had to make a wisecracks about Lindsay in a homeless shelter? It just shows how insecure she is," the pal told us.

Lindsay is no stranger to barbs being tossed her way and she doesn't typically have the thickest skin when she is the object of ridicule. Earlier this year she was upset when she was the butt of Gwyneth Paltrow's jokes on 'Glee.'

But the struggling actress does know that putting herself back in the spotlight with the upcoming Gotti biopic will open her up to criticism. Still, she didn't expect it out of the mouth of a former friend.

"If the rest of the show is all Paris bashing people this thing is going to have a short shelf life." another friend of both Paris and Lindsay's tells PopEater.

"We've all seen her act like a jerk. She needs to give us something new."
