Let's Get Ready to Rumble

Driving home from Montauk today on the always pleasant LIE, the snow began coming down pretty hard right around Holbrook just as the sun began setting. The flakes were the size of ping pong balls. There was a distinct whiteness in the air and the flakes were coming down quickly. They were light flakes, so it seemed. The trees were coated with fresh white snow. OK enough waxing poetic. Some dipshit come hauling ass behind me, with no lights on. The visibility was about 50' in front of the car. Maybe this guy had snow vision goggles on, but shit like this leads to accidents. Not today (I don't think) but I guarantee people get in accidents every day because of people with no lights on. Common sense says that if 98% of cars have their lights on, maybe you should check to see if yours are. Jerk ass. Use the lights, they'll help you and others around you,

If you've ever been to the Tanger Riverhead Outlets, you know it's massive. There's two separate sections with around 60 stores at each. Good stores. There may have been 200 cars there, total. Parking spots were dime a dozen. There were still several large mounds of snow here and there. If you're like me, you park where you see the first spot, not the closest spot. Healthy steps. The snow started so maybe closer spots were important to this one jackass in a large SUV. He/she found it necessary to park in the spot closest to the store, even though the right front tire was 3' off the ground on one of these aforementioned piles of snow. Really, was it necessary to park there? Are you too out of shape to walk the extra 10' if you parked that full-sized spot directly to your left? Laziness. It's an epidemic. This sloth probably needed a soda out of the credit card vending machine too. Pig.

The two previous annoyances are really out of our control, but this one isn't.

I like to eat three square meals a day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner - unless it's the weekend and brunch is in play. I hate sleeping in - past 9:00 - because I feel like breakfast begins to creep to around 10:15 to 10:30. A little too close to lunch. You then adjust your lunch time depending on when you finally finished your breakfast. The later lunch is, the later dinner is. I'm typically a 8/1/6 guy. And it works. Once meals start blending into one another, that's when my problem starts. Three distinct meals with maybe a snack in between, that works. It all ties into your ability to 1) wake up at a reasonable hour and 2) manage your appetite. Once it's too late to eat breakfast because you think it'll effect your lunch, your eating pattern is all thrown off. Stick to times, eat at those times, and mix in some sniggity snacks in between. Blending meals into one another sucks and I can't tolerate it from myself. Stay motivated, even towards something as mundane as sticking to an eying schedule.
